A DECISION from the National Energy Regulator of SA (Nersa) on an application by Unigas Export and Import (Pty) Ltd is awaited for a licence for the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) and re- gasification plant as well as transmission facilities at the Port of Ngqura.
The public hearing was held last Friday and Nersa has not yet indicated when a decision will be announced.
One of the company s directors is United Democratic Movement leader Bantu Holomisa.
In addition to the re-gasification facility, Unigas wants to construct a pipeline in three phases.
