ITS quirky architecture provided a unique backdrop for '60s sci-fi drama The Prisoner.
And now fans of the series can visit the resort of Portmeirion from the comfort of their computer chair after a copy of the village was created in a virtual world called Second Life.
The online world allows users to interact by creating caricatures called avatars, who can explore, meet other residents, socialise, participate in individual and group activities or travel throughout the world, which residents refer to as the grid.
