Printers are finding that stocks consisting of clay-coated polypropylene have unique appeal and durability in specific applications.
Commercial printers will be happy to hear that there's a safe haven in this lethargic paper market: synthetic papers. These specialty sheets are digging into all sorts of niche segments and creating some new, big ones. The margins are fantastic, and the consumption rates per job seem to be getting larger. The manufacturers are increasing production, and imports are up.
The main producers are expanding. Arjobex America, the maker of Polyart papers, doubled its capacity in the United States.
