In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, IIE Solutions presents the seventh in a series of histories, reflections, and projections about IIE. This month we take a look at chapters.
IIE's chapter operations manual defines a chapter as a group of lie members in a specific geographic area who have joined together in the quest for greater professional activity. Members participate with the knowledge that if they work together, industrial engineers can gain increased recognition, provide support to IE students, and serve their profession.
