A New York graffiti artist and his girlfriend recently alleged that they were roughed up by police officers. According to the New York Post, police are investigating the charge.
Andre Charles, 29, a well-known graffiti artist whose work is shown throughout the Bronx and lower Manhattan, and his girlfriend, 24-year-old Nadia Valdez, told the newspaper that they were roughed up by two plainclothes cops. Valdez, a student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, suffered a black eye from the alleged incident.
