The Guide to U.S. Mail Order Sales is an annual study of the overall U.S. mail order business with broad coverage of all major demand and supply segments. As part of the overall Marketing Logistics Mail Order Marketing Management Library, the annual Guide is supplemented by comprehensive individual market studies.
Mail order with growth 5.0 percentage points higher than retail growth in 1997 was still modest in the scale of retail trade and overall economic activity (11.7 percent of general merchandise sales, 4.0 percent of retail sales, 2.0 percent of consumer services, 2.0 percent of gross national product).
