The legendary groups Gladys Knight and the Pips, The O'Jays and R&B singer Tyrone Davis were among the 12 veterans of soul honored at the Rhythm & Blues Foundation's Ninth Annual Pioneer Awards, held at the New York Sheraton.
Gladys Knight and the Pips were named the Lifetime Achievement honorees. They've made hits for three decades, and are known for such classic tunes as Heard It Through The Grapevine and Neither One Of Us.
