New Brunswick becomes the most recent province to use conservation easements to protect the land
New Brunswick has become the most recent Canadian province to provide landowners and conservation-oriented organizations with a legally binding form of conservation agreement. The province's new legislation will allow landowners to use conservation easements to protect ecologically sensitive land, wildlife habitat and culturally or scenically important spaces while retaining ownership of their land.
