This year marks the 150th anniversary of The Communist Manifesto, written by Karl Marx and his patron Friedrich Engels. Since its appearance in 1848, it has been the pocket bible of political parties--Socialist Social Democratic, Labor, and Communist--that at times collectively governed better than half of the earth's population Yet despite their all espousing "Marxist" concepts, they were more often than not in deep, sometimes deadly, disagreement with one another.
