While many auto-makers are spinning off their names into mountain bikes, Jaguar is reaching for loftier goals--like airplanes. After cutting a deal with Raytheon Aircraft, Jaguar is adding its input for a series of Jaguar Special Edition models. The first of the series, based on the Beech King Air C90B twin-engine turbo-prop bizplane, was unveiled at this year's Detroit Auto Show.
The Jaguar styling team in Coventry, England, came up with the design theme for the fuselage graphics and interior furnishings. Then Raytheon's styling department in Wichita, Kan., picked up the ball and made it all happen.
