Oops! So egregious was the error I made in this space last issue that I should start with the apologies. Celebrating the prominence of Canadian artists on international stages, I named some names and inadvertently included an American, the countertenor David Daniels. I had intended to cite countertenor Daniel Taylor from Montreal, who also performed in the New York City Opera's production of Rinaldo. My apologies to Mr. Taylor for a confusion that resulted in his omission. My apologies to Mr. Daniels, too, for changing his nationality, though I'm sure he will have no objection to the company in which I cast him.
