This is a supah-dupah slippery disc. Quaye melds reggae, rock, club, Motown groove and early pop (like Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now") into something that slides through you like beautifully iridescent greased eels. You can't hold it in your hand, but it's pretty and interesting anyway.
Bob Marley is a big inspiration here. The first single, "Sunday Shining," is a Marley tune that Quaye's expanded upon and it's a cool blend of Breeders guitar, nice horn ...
