Canada is one of the most stable, secure and civilized societies in the world, and yet there is unease and a lack of confidence amongst the general population. Looking ahead to the next general election campaign, and what it will mean for the future of Canada, the Conservative Party has established a platform focussed on strengthening the economy by making Canada a world class competitor in the global market. This can be achieved only by having an open economy, a lean government, and low tax rates.
