On the corner of Yonge and St. Clair on this beautiful spring day in Toronto, a shady-looking young man pulls assorted Spice Girls merch out of a ratty old plastic bag. "Spice Girls book, only $5," he calls, chasing after well-dressed office workers. Little does he know (or care) that just north on Yonge, at a trendy Italian eatery, another budding pop star is having lunch.
Model-handsome musician Jimmy Ray, a cross between Elvis, Charlie Sexton and Luke Perry, is all over the radio and MuchMusic these days with his tongue-in-cheek pop single, "Are You Jimmy Ray?".
