The Ontario Superior Court of Justice on September 13 allowed Sheila Wilson to become the representative plaintiff in a class action against French drug manufacturer Biofarma and its distributor, Servier Canada Inc. In 1995-96, Ms. Wilson took the weight-loss drug Ponderal for 12 months on the advice of her doctor. Biofarma and Servier took the drug off the market in 1997.
