I've basically got 20 minutes to change your mind about unemployment insurance and Atlantic Canada.
Now don't misunderstand me -- I'm not here to defend unemployment insurance, which in my view has been the single most destructive, cruel and disruptive force over the last 30 years of Atlantic Canada's economic history.
What I want to convince you of, ladies and gentlemen, is that Atlantic Canadians are not just welfare recipients ripping off the system, they're not stupid, lazy, incompetent people who would rather take a handout than a job.
