By developing positive, proactive approaches to dealing with anger, we can greatly improve our lives and those of our children.
We have a hard time understanding and dealing with anger in our society. We misunderstand it, and we misuse it, either to excess or not enough. We teach our children to "be nice" rather than to express their anger. Or we model angry, aggressive behaviour in our media or our own lives and then act surprised when our children "act out". It seems hard for many of us to find that happy middle ground.
