Marshmallow federalists are accused of aiding Quebec separatists by acceding to the position that Quebec has a right to unilaterally secede with its present borders intact. Federalists are called on to assert the right of Canada, and all Canadians, to say Yes or No to Quebec's independence and the terms of any secession; that if Canada is divisible, so is Quebec; that the minimum price of Quebec's independence would be its complete territorial disintegration.
