ATLANTA, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Georgia-Pacific Corp. board of directors today announced the retirement of its chairman and the election of a new chairman, a director and a new treasurer, as well as two capital-improvement programs and declaration of regular quarterly dividends.
Robert E. Flowerree, chairman, retired from the board and T. Marshall Hahn Jr., president and chief executive officer, was elected to succeed him as chairman. Richard V. Giordano, group managing director and chief executive officer of the London-based BOC Group, was elected to serve as a director on Georgia-Pacific's board.
