DALLAS, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Joe K. Hughes, Dr Pepper Company executive vice president and operations/marketing executive for 15 years, has been named president and chief operating officer of the Dallas-based soft drink manufacturer. He succeeds Richard Q. Armstrong, who in January, announced his intention to resign following the successful merger of Dr Pepper Company with Forstmann Little & Co. and the pending sale of Canada Dry, a division of Dr Pepper Company since February, 1982.
