GLENVIEW, Ill., March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Company officials of Zenith expect the major television networks to adopt a Zenith-developed system for the transmission of TV programming with stereo sound in view of a Federal Communications Commission ruling made today.
The FCC has authorized broadcasters to begin TV broadcasts with stereo sound, but it did not select a specific system as a standard. The decision allows broadcasters to choose the technical format they will use for stereo TV transmissions.
