NEW YORK, May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Three legally blind students today received the fifth annual Charles E. Dillman Career Incentive Awards at the Lighthouse, The New York Association for the Blind. Presenting the Awards for The Lighthouse was Academy Award winner Shirley MacLaine.
The recipients of the $2500 awards were Lawrence Silvermintz of Long Island, Cecelia Caruso of Manhattan, and Angel Guzman of the Bronx. The awards are offered each year by The Lighthouse to honor outstanding achievement on the part of a blind undergraduate, graduate student and person changing careers.
