/ADVANCE/ New York, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The healthy economy will continue for at least the next 12 months say the nation's purchasing managers in their 27th semiannual economic forecast. Fifty-five percent of the members surveyed predicted the second quarter will be better than the first quarter, while only five percent say it will be worse. By a ratio of four to one members say that the second half of 1984 will be better than the first half. Capital spending is expected to increase as the year progresses. Most feel prices will continue to rise, but that the upward thrust will be moderate the increase will be selective.
