Can we eliminate emphysema as a health problem? I believe we can if we simply apply modern knowledge about the cause of emphysema and how it progresses. Let's review the problem, hand in hand with our current knowledge, and see what can de done for millions of Americans who now have or will develop disabling emphysema.
