CHICAGO, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- A lottery is a game in which players bet a small amount of money against long odds in hopes of winning a large sum of money. In Illinois last week, one person invested $1 in the State's LOTTO game and won the $40 million Grand Prize.

Michael J. Jones, Illinois State Lottery superintendent, announced that the Lottery's computers early yesterday morning determined that only one ticket purchased last week contained the six winning numbers --02, 03, 10, 26, 30, and 43 -- drawn in Saturday evening's (Sept. 1) LOTTO drawing.

Jones said the winner will receive his or her prize in a 20-year annuity paying $2 million a year, ...
