CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Conventures Ltd. (TSE: CVY) and Encounter Energy Resources Ltd. (AlBS: EER) today jointly announced that they have requested the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Alberta Stock Exchange to temporarily cease trading in the shares of each corporation pending an announcement with respect to negotiations in progress intended to lead to a formal offer by Conventures to acquire, for cash, all of the outstanding common shares of Encounter.
