NEW YORK, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- In an attempt to put an end to the two-year Civil War within the Liberal Party, State Chairman, Dr. Donald Harrington, today challenged Raymond Harding to "come out of the shadows" and run against him for Chairman.

The small but influential Statewide Party has been split into two camps ever since Harding tried to block Harrington and State Secretary James Notaro in their efforts to give Mario Cuomo the Party's early endorsement for Governor in 1982.
