is tightening up its travel expense budget to cope with continuing increases in transportation and lodging costs, a survey of readers of Travel Expense Management revealed.
Most of the company executives responsible for monitoring travel management polled by the semi-monthly newsletter are bearing down hard on air travel, hotel costs and car rentals. They are negotiating and renegotiating with suppliers of travel services for the best possible rates, and they are supplementing their "outside" efforts with in-house educational programs.
