NEW YORK -- If you're a personnel or other executive who has pulled some boners in matching pre-hire screening with on-the-job experience, you might try psycho-linguistics in interviewing people. Being aware of the relationship between how a person talks and behaves may help you select, motivate and manage people more effectively. With practice, an evaluation can be made over the telephone.
This was the theme of a talk by Judy Rosemarin, head of Sense-Able Strategies, Roslyn, N.Y., consultant in executive assessment, sales training and other skills for placing the right person in the right job. She spoke at the NRMA convention Monday.
