Not one, but three background stories have a bearing on the renovation/restoration/redesign of the Netherland Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, whose public spaces, as shown here, are the work of Rita St. Clair Associates. The first pertains to the hotel's history. The next to the applied art style. And the third to some behind-the-scenes doings and dealings involved to obtain landmark listing and related tax abatement. All three, each distincty yet eventually confluent, are culled from interviews with Rita St. Clair.
