SANDY POLLACK, a pillar of the Communist Party, U.S.A., died in a plane crash over Cuba on January 19. On February 2 a memorial service was held for her in the Assembly Hall of the "Rockefeller church," Riverside Church in New York City. Some five hundred people attended, including a sizable contingent from the diplomatic community (ambassadors from Cuba, Nicaragua, Vietnam, East Germany, as well as representatives from Czechoslovakia and the PLO).
