CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Knitting arts Exhibition (KAE) drew both praise and criticism for its first-ever show in the South, a DNR survey of visitors and exhibitors revealed. For the past several years, KAE, which concluded here Sunday, has been held in Atlantic City, N.J.
The main criticism from visitors was that the show was "too small," and that there was not enough equipment displayed. Several executives interviewed by DNR noted that the International Hosiery Exposition, which is also held in the Civic Center, used about twice as much exhibition space as the KAE.
