MAJOR BRAND, regular grade, dealer tank wagon gasoline prices jumped an average of almost a penny a gallon in the last week, according to The Oil Daily survey of 50 cities nationwide.
The average price rose 0.94 cent per gallon to 85.37 cents, which is about 2.0 cents per gallon under year-ago levels, and 3.0 cents under the average from two years ago.
The average price as measured by the survey has climbed steadily since the first week of February, a total of 9.54 cents during that period, climbing an average of 1.0 cent per week since the last week of February.
