GREENSBORO, N.C. (FNS) -- Burlington Industries, Inc., reported earnings plunged 84.7 per cent for the second quarter and 84.3 per cent for the six months ended March 30 compared with the year-age periods.
Profits dropped to $5,145,000, or 18 cents a share, from $33,469,000, or $1.16, for the second quarter, and to $9,735,000, or 34 cents, from $62,136,000, or $2.16, for the six months.
The latest results include gains from litigation of $517,000, or 2 cents, for the second quarter, and $1,712,000, or 6 cents, for the six months. The year-ago results include gains from litigation of $4,315,000, or 15 cents, for both the second quarter and six months.
