GASOLINE prices rose an average of 0.42 cent this week, from 87.64 cents last week to 88.06 cents per gallon, according to The Oil Daily's survey of 50 U.S. cities.
The survey is based on a sampling of major oil companies' postings for regular grade, branded, dealer tank wagon prices.
More than 60 percent of the cities tracked on a weekly basis showed the same postings as last week's. These were mostly cities located in the West and the Southeast.
The survey showed that prices in these cities have been constrant an average of four weeks. Los Angeles and Savannah, Ga. prices have remained unchanged for eight weeks; Atlanta, Jackson, Miss., ...
