Turn the page on Beirut and its banners of abuse. Far to the east there is, in another small country, a very different story.

Scores of thousands again invoke the name of the United States. But the banners here proclaim "God Bless America!" The people into camps in Thailand. Last week, they mobbed Secretary of State Shultz. "U.S.A.," they beesched with touching politeness, "please rescue Cambodia."

U.S.A., please turn the clock back.
