NEW YORK -- Some of New York's most exclusive manufacturing furriers predict expansive and expensive furs will be the rage this fall and winter, carrying the industry to yet another banner year.
As though the traditional retail fur season is about to kick off, most wholesales furriers surveyed said business was brisk throughout August, if not the entire summer.
"It's been a very strong opening," said Jeff Tepper, president of The Tepper Collection. "Compared with last year, we've been ahead at least 25 percent every month since the collection opened in May."
