LOS ANGELES -- While most mainfloor men's sportswear manufacturers exhibiting at MAGIC here aren't dazzling the fashion senses, nonetheless there is plenty of updating going on through the introduction of bright colors, new prints, fancy fabrics and larger shapes.
The entire mainfloor market--whether it be the tried-and-true tradionalists such as Harris Casuals, Damon, Allyn St. George and Farah, of the more upbeat lines like Basic Elements, Tourage Designed by Read Worth and Blueprint--has latched on to a more contemporary fashion theme as a way to combat growing competition from young men's and collection resources.
