ADVOCATES OF THE "nuclear winter" theory, such as the popular Cornell astronomer Carl Sagan and his associates in the TTAPS group (Brian Toon, Richard Turco, Thomas Ackerman, and James Pollack), have neglected to explain something: There was no nuclear winter at Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
