A dandy little brouhaha has broken out between Exxon and the Texas Oil Marketers Assn. over the latter's so-called "Public Education Campaign" [NPN--Nov. '85, p35].
Exxon has taken issue with TOMA and other state associations which have joined its campaign over allegations that the major oil companies have been suffering huge downstream losses and the accuracy of claims they can sell product more profitably through independent wholesalers.
TOMA is not letting up in its campaign, meanwhile. It planned to run another national advertisement Oct. 28, putting forth a "manifesto" of primary areas which it says must be resolved to restore equity in the ...
