If President Reagan's call for covert funding of "freedom fighters" seeking to overthrow the socialist government of President Jose Eduardo dos Santos in Angola succeeds, the United States will be sinking its teeth into its own tail. The recipient of the aid, Jonas Savimbi's South Africa-backed organization, Unita, is carrying out a campaign of sabotage against the facilities of U.S. corporations in Angola.
