They look like chocolate snowballs; the secret ingredient is cottage cheese. 2/3 cup (1/3 lb.) butter or margarine, at room temperature 1-2/3 cups granulated sugar 1 cup small-curd cottage cheese 2 large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup cocoa 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup chopped almonds or walnuts
About 1 cup powdered sugar
Whirl butter, sugar, cottage cheese, eggs, and vanilla in a food processor until smoothly blended; or beat with an electric mixer.
