Will Exxon's Pull-out from TOMA Force Jobbers to Choose Sides?

In what one jobber called a "childish' act, Exxon withdrew from the Texas Oil Marketers Assn. to protest TOMA's ongoing "Public Education Campaign,' while in the process, leaving Exxon's Texas distributors choosing sides in a family squabble.

The separation from TOMA appeared indefinite, with Exxon having no plans to reconcile. The oil company has said only that "TOMA is not working in the best interest of Exxon and its branded distributors.'
