PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- A U.S. District Court in Philadelphia dismissed on Monday, Dec. 30, a class action brought by gray market importers against Daimler-Benz A.G. and Mercedes-Benz of North America Inc.
The grey market importers sought to establish a nationwide class action. They asserted that Daimler-Benz and Mercedes-Benz conspired with their franchised dealers in violation of the U.S. antitrust laws to prevent importation of Mercedes-Benz vehicles which were not manufactured to comply with U.S. emission and safety standards.
