PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott Paper Co. announced today that it has sold its interest in Amapa Florestal e Celulose S.A. (Amcel), a 424,000-acre pine tree plantation in the Amazon region of Brazil.
Scott has sold its interest to its partner in the venture, Industria e Comercio de Minerios S.A. (Icomi), a major subsidiary of Companhia Auxiliar de Empresas de Mineracao (Caemi), a leading Brazilian mining, steel and resource company.
