Tomorrow Expo draws more traffic; basic styles predominate
The second annual Hosiery of Tomorrow Expo, sponsored by the Catawba Valley Hosiery Association, Hickory, N.C., drew over 350 buyers here this week, compared with 200 last year, according to Paul Fogleman, executive director.
Of the 100 exhibitors at the show, held in the Benton Convention Center, the majority presented fall legwear collections of mostly basic styles.
Among the strongest categories were sport socks, including slouchy looks, crews and anklets, in various colors and classic textures. A plethora of recently developed Lycra spandex sheers was also unveiled by manufacturers.
