NEW YORK, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A group of Canadian investors has bought Van Raalte Canada for an undisclosed amount, according to an announcement today by Henry H. Henley Jr., chairman of Cluett, Peabody & Co. Inc. (NYSE: CLU).
Allan Pereque, who heads the investor group, noted that the Van Raalte management will remain in place, under the presidency of Leslie Skelly, who has been in that post since 1971. Van Raalte, a division of Cluett, Peabody Canada Inc., makes and markets women's intimate apparel and loungewear.
