TWA TALKS BREAK OFF; ICAHN ABSENT FROM TABLE
PHILADELPHIA, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- TWA owner Carl Icahn's failure to appear at the bargaining table forced negotiations between the airline and the Independent Federation of Flight Attendants (IFFA) to break off today, according to Vicki Frankovich, president of the striking union.
"Carl Icahn doesn't seem to have the same concern for this airline that flight attendants do," Frankovich said. "We came here to negotiate in order to protect the financial future of the company, and the safety of our passengers.
