WASHINGTON, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- "If we don't provide sufficient aid now to help democracy flourish in Central America, communist domination in that area could force us to spend billions of dollars later and possibly sacrifice American blood," said American Legion National Cmdr. Dale L. Renaud after viewing captured insurgent weapons from El Salvador here today.
The weapons were provided to rebels in El Salvador by the Nicaraguan Sandinistas.
"No one wants such an outcome -- and we can preclude it by adopting sound policies now," said Renaud.
