Airco Gases' Carbon Dioxide division, of Murray Hill, NJ, has entered the industrial cleaning market with a cryogenic cleaning system. A safe alternative to sand blasting and chemical washing, the system employs carbon dioxide pellets, dry ice, to remove surface dirt, coatings and other contamination.
"Concern for the environment and worker safety is increasing the demand for cryogenic cleaning," said Walter J. Kleinberg, manager of industrial applications for Airco Carbon Dioxide. "As the largest carbon dioxide supplier in the U.S., we expect to capture a significant share of this burgeoning market."
